Jorginho Reveals What He Knows About Sarri’s Future At Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho says he is still none the wiser about Maurizio Sarri’s long-term future with the Blues.

Despite winning the Europa League final against Arsenal last night, the Italian manager has been linked with a return to Italy to manage Juventus.

When asked about Sarri, Jorginho revealed he doesn’t know what the future holds for his mentor:

“The future? I would also like to know if Sarri remains, you should ask him. I now think of the two games with my national team and then of the holidays, I need to be with my family.”

After the match, Sarri stated he deserves to stay at Chelsea but also made it known that he wants to hold talks with the club’s hierarchy following a tumultuous campaign.

Derby County manager Frank Lampard has been repeatedly linked with taking over at Stamford Bridge, even though Sarri has secured Champions League football and won a trophy in his first season in England.

Supporters have, however, not been enamoured by the team’s style of play, but a third place, a cup final and a European title may persuade the Chelsea board into keeping Sarri as manager.
