“He’s Really Taken To The Tactics…” Micah Richards Praises Chelsea Ace Who Is Thriving Under Potter

Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards claims Chelsea attacking midfielder Mason Mount looks like a “new player” since the arrival of Graham Potter as manager.

The 23-year-old scored both goals in the Blues’ 2-0 win against Aston Villa on Sunday, and Richards was full of praise for how the England international has improved in recent weeks:

“Since Potter has come in, he’s been like a new player. He’s really taken to the tactics very well.”

Before Potter’s appointment, Mount had not scored or provided an assist in any competition for Chelsea this season, but he has been extremely effective in front of goal over the past six matches.

In addition to his brace at the weekend, he has created five other goals, helping the Blues to five wins and one draw over the past month, improving the team’s fortunes both domestically and in Europe.

Whether Mount has simply upped his game to impress his new manager or whether this is the level we can expect from him going forward, we shall have to wait and see.
