Brighton are still adamant that Marc Cucurella is not for sale despite Chelsea making a concerted effort to sign the player, according to BBC journalist Simon Stone.
Reports have suggested that the Blues have offered in excess of £50m for the Spanish international but Stone claims Brighton have still not accepted an offer from Thomas Tuchel’s side:
No change to @OfficialBHAFC hard-line stance re Cucurella. They don’t want to sell. No agreement on fee as yet. Told deal still some way off but obviously that can change v quickly. Selling club in strong position.

Cucurella is believed to be keen on joining Chelsea, with personal terms already agreed, but Brighton are really trying to squeeze out every last penny in negotiations.
It remains to be seen how patient the Blues will be as they have seemingly tabled a very generous offer for the defender.
Manchester City have backed away from talks for Cucurella after refusing to meet Brighton’s demands, although it is believed that the Premier League champions were only prepared to pay £40m.
Chelsea’s offer is much closer to Brighton’s asking price, so you would think that an agreement is within reach, but we shall see how things progress in the coming hours and days.
