After facing Aston Villa on Monday night, Chelsea fans have been discussing whether the Blues should consider going after their captain Jack Grealish.
Frank Lampard’s side have struggled with creativity at times this season, especially without Hakim Ziyech, and, with Kai Havertz also not firing on all cylinders, supporters on Twitter have started debating whether Grealish would be a better fit:
Grealish would cost two banks of England.

He’ll never bench Mason to accomodate Grealish, he’ll never bench Mason to accommodate anyone actually

My first worried when the purchased of Havertz was why should CFC buy this type of player who would not be fit to battle EPL? I wasn’t over the moon for Havertz bcoz have seen he’s not the kind of player we need. Like you have said “Grealish” would have been 120% better of

We can have someone like Grealish only for lampard to use him out of position
The problem is not players here it’s the tactics

Chelsea are highly unlikely to make a move for another attacking midfielder in January, with reports suggesting the club’s focus is on securing the signing of West Ham holding midfielder Declan Rice.
Even if they were interested in Grealish, though, Villa are said to be holding out for a fee in excess of £100m, while there will likely be fierce competition for his signature from the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United.
With Ziyech expected to return this weekend when the Blues face City, any talk about a lack of creative players may quickly be forgotten.
