‘Should Not Be Sold Under Any Circumstances’ ‘Underrated’ Fans Call On Lampard To Keep Faith With Chelsea Star After Watford Win

Chelsea centre-back Kurt Zouma put in a solid display against Watford in the 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge yesterday evening.

The Frenchman replaced Antonio Rudiger in the starting line up for the game, and he did not let anyone down with his performance. Supporters on Twitter have called on manager Frank Lampard to keep faith with the 25-year-old:

Although Zouma did have a very good game against the Hornets, it must be said that all four of the Blues’ centre-back options have issues with consistency.

Out of all them, though, the France international has been the most solid in recent months, and his aerial presence at set-pieces should help him get more first-team action between now and the end of the campaign.

Whether he is a long term solution, though, is another matter. After this season’s numerous defensive lapses, Lampard will likely be considering a serious overhaul in the backline. It remains to be seen if Zouma will be saved from the axe.
