Pulisic, Azpilicueta And Havertz To Start, Sterling And Aubameyang Out: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Villa

The injury sustained by Reece James may lead to Chelsea manager Graham Potter changing formation for the game against Aston Villa this weekend.

Kepa will keep his place in goal, but Cesar Azpilicueta may replace James at right-back. Both Trevoh Chalobah and Ben Chilwell could also drop out of the lineup, with the rest of the back four being comprised of Thiago Silva, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella.

The three-man midfield could see Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek playing in a double pivot, with Mason Mount (who was taken off at halftime against Milan) in the number 10 role.

There may be some changes in the front three too, with Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Raheem Sterling making way, leaving space for the likes of Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic to come in. Conor Gallagher could also be recalled.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Play Aston Villa:

Kepa, Azpilicueta, Silva, Koulibaly, Cucurella, Loftus-Cheek, Mount, Kovacic, Gallagher, Havertz, Pulisic
