Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic scored a brace as the Blues came out 5-3 winners against Red Bull Salzburg last night. The American international got in behind the Austrian side’s defence twice and finished cooly on both occasions.
The goals were the 20-year-old’s first for the club, and supporters on Twitter are excited to see more of the midfielder in action over the coming weeks and months:

I will not be watching Chelsea to find a new Hazard their is only one. However I am excited to seeing Christian Pulisic and what he brings to the table.Players from Europe tend to get the headlines but America has slowly become a player in the Premiership.

Already said it like 50 times, Pulisic has all the hallmarks of when Lamps & Hazard signed.
I have those expectations because he has all the ability to be world class.

Manager Frank Lampard praised Pulisic after the game, saying he wants to see more of the same when the Blues start playing competitive games in the Premier League:
“He [Pulisic] showed his quality and I love the nature of his goals where he has an intention to run behind the line and not come short and the finishing was good.”
The American feels like a new signing, even though he was bought in January for £58m, and then loaned back to Borussia Dortmund.
There’s a lot of pressure on Pulisic to replace Eden Hazard following the Belgian’s departure to Real Madrid, but the early signs have been very promising heading into his first campaign for the club.
