Chelsea and Manchester United are both interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen wingback Jeremie Frimpong, according to FootballTransfers.com.
The website claims that the Dutch defender’s representatives are “aware of the interest” from both teams ahead of the January transfer window:

Frimpong actually came through Manchester City’s academy but he only made his first-team debut when he made the switch to Celtic.
After just eighteen months in Scotland, he was snapped by Leverkusen for £11.5m, and the player has been steadily improving his game during his time at the Bundesliga club.
Chelsea are looking to strengthen their options on the right flank, with competition needed for Reece James, and Frimpong would provide excellent cover, considering he is most comfortable playing in a back five.
It is believed that United may make an early move to snap up the 21-year-old, so Chelsea will have to be quick if they want to secure the player’s signature.
