The agent of Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries has not ruled out the Dutch international leaving the Serie A club.
Chelsea and Manchester United have both been heavily linked with the player in recent weeks and his representative Rafaela Pimenta says that, while the defender is happy in Italy at the moment, things could change:
“Denzel had a great World Cup, and I think Inter are happy with him, Right now, he only has Inter in his heart, and then in the future let’s see what happens.”
Reports suggest that Inter need to raise funds to balance the books and they have identified Dumfries as one of the players who could be sacrificed.
It is believed that the Nerazzurri are hoping for a fee in the region of €50m (£44m) to €60m (£53m) after the 26-year-old impressed at the World Cup last month.
While a departure in the summer is still likelier than during the January transfer window, Chelsea will be keeping an eye on developments. Dumfries would be the perfect candidate to provide competition for Reece James, whose ongoing injury problems mean the Blues could be forced into the market.
