Kante, Silva And Azpilicueta To Start; Kovacic And Chalobah Out: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Play Liverpool

Chelsea will be keen to take revenge when they face Liverpool for a second time in a domestic cup final this season.

The loss in the Carabao Cup back in February was hard to take and fans will be hoping that the team can right that wrong by winning the FA Cup instead.

In terms of Thomas Tuchel’s team selection, Edouard Mendy will start in goal, while Reece James and Marcos Alonso are likely to play in the two wingback positions.

After being rested for the Leeds game in midweek, you would expect that Thiago Silva and Cesar Azpilicueta will come back into the starting eleven, with Trevoh Chalobah and Andreas Christensen making way. Antonio Rudiger will keep his position in the back three.

Mateo Kovacic has been ruled out due to an ankle injury but, luckily, N’Golo Kante returned to full training on Thursday so he could take the Croatian’s place in midfield, alongside Jorginho.

Up front, Mason Mount, Romelu Lukaku and Christian Pulisic are all in form, so Tuchel would probably be wise to keep faith with the attacking trio.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Liverpool:

Mendy, James, Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger, Alonso, Kante, Jorginho, Mount, Lukaku, Pulisic
