Chelsea are keeping tabs on Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo, according to journalist Robert Pratley.
The reporter, who runs The Chelsea Social website, claims that the Blues are “among” the “many clubs” interested in the Ecuadorian but it would cost a sizeable fee to secure the player’s services this summer:
Konrad Laimer was of interest before but that has cooled somewhat. CFC among many clubs that like Moises Caicedo but Brighton won’t sell unless someone makes an absurd offer. Lucas Gourna could be one for the future.

Caicedo was actually linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge before he signed for Brighton so it is not surprising that the club’s recruitment department have been watching his progress.
Other teams, including Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and West Ham, have also been mentioned as possible suitors for the 20-year-old so Brighton are in a strong position when it comes to their asking price.
Considering the Seagulls held out for £62m in their discussions with Chelsea to sell Marc Cucurella, you can bet they will be just as tough in negotiations if Thomas Tuchel’s side decide to open talks over a deal for Caicedo.
