Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham was once again omitted from the matchday squad for the 5-2 defeat to West Brom on Saturday.
It is not known whether a recent ankle injury prevented the 23-year-old from taking his place on the bench but fans on Twitter are concerned that manager Thomas Tuchel simply doesn’t rate the forward:
It’s awful treatment he clearly has his favourites upfront who seem to be always in what ever happens

Tbh the guy scores goals just that he doesn’t look fashionable as the lead striker

I have to think that TT sees something he doesn’t like from Tammy in training. Would have been a great opportunity to at least give him some sub minutes to get back into shape. I trust in Tuchel’s decisions but feel for Tammy because I do rate him

Werner shouldn’t be starting. Tammy’s probably asking himself why Werner is getting so many chances. Tammy deserves waaaayy better than this!!

Abraham would of taken most of Werner’s chances

He's good enough to be starting for Chelsea. Don't know what more he needs to do other than score goals to prove himself.

Considering Abraham’s recent fitness problems, it’s probably wise not to come to any snap judgements regarding his recent omission but, as some supporters have said, it doesn’t look good for the England international.
When Abraham has been afforded starts by Tuchel, he has been hauled off at half-time, with his manager seemingly not happy with his contributions.
Even so, it would be harsh if the German has already made up his mind on the player. Abraham remains Chelsea’s top scorer this season on 12, one ahead of Olivier Giroud and two above Timo Werner.
However, with Tuchel even trying Kai Havertz as a false nine in recent weeks, it seems Abraham is well down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
