‘It Might Just Happen’ ‘He’s Coming Home’ Fans Respond To Reports That Club Are Open To Selling Chelsea Target For 100M

Chelsea could get the chance to sign Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku this summer, according to the Daily Star.

The Blues are thought to be interested in signing the former Manchester United player if they are unable to snap up Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.

Lukaku has been in excellent form, scoring 25 goals in all competitions, but the financial pressures of the global health crisis mean that Inter will be open to selling either the 27-year-old or Lautaro Martinez, especially if they secure Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero on a free transfer. Supporters on Twitter are getting more and more optimistic that a deal is possible:

The Star claims that Inter may demand £100m for Lukaku, but that would still be a lot cheaper than the £154m that Dortmund are currently asking for Haaland.

With that being the case, and following reports that manager Thomas Tuchel would be keen on re-signing the former Chelsea star, it seems like the transfer is a genuine possibility.
