Chelsea let a 2-0 goal lead slip against Wolves on Saturday and, while there were problems defensively once again, the Blues were also wasteful at the other end of the pitch.
One player who has come in for a lot of criticism is Timo Werner. The German forward didn’t, by any means, have his worst game at the weekend, but his poor decision making and finishing have led many to vent their frustration at his shortcomings:
Werner had the worst decisions of the day. Poor display. I wonder how he played 90 minutes.

It hurts watching him play π€¦ββοΈ

Apart from speed, what else can Werner do?

Anytime he's on the counter, he doesn't have any plan of what to do. He just want to run, Werner can never have those seasons he had on Leipzig anymore

Werner miss a lot of chances he should have given to lukaku we would have score more goals before they equalizer. Please sell am we need more creative player that can pass and dribble very well

He is so predictable for a striker and to think he brought out lukaku and left werner hmmm

Why is warner always running towards the corner flag position!?

Werner was probably one of the liveliest players out on the pitch, forcing Jose Sa into a couple of good saves, whilst also having a goal chalked off for a foul on Romain Saiss.
However, this isn’t just about the game on Saturday. For a Β£47.5m signing, with an excellent goal record back in Germany, he just hasn’t produced the goods often enough.
Chelsea’s attack is full of players who can turn on the style for brief periods but they don’t perform consistently. It’s probably harsh to be picking on Werner specifically but you can’t blame fans for being disappointed with his lack of end product.
