‘Had A Blinding Game’ ‘Dribbling Like Hazard’ Fans Praise Chelsea Star After Another ‘Exceptional’ Display Against Leeds

Chelsea centre-back Thiago Silva put in another commanding performance at the back during the 3-1 win over Leeds at Stamford Bridge last night.

The Brazilian captained the side in the absence of Cesar Azpilicueta and Jorginho, and his leadership was again on display as he helped marshal the backline against a challenging opponent.

Although other Chelsea players stole the headlines, supporters on Twitter continue to be impressed by what Silva brings to the table:

The centre-half’s form is remarkable, considering he is having to adapt to a new league at the age of 36. He doesn’t look phased whatsoever and even when he picked up an injury in the closing stages of the game, he continued to make clearances and blocks.

Some credit must go to manager Frank Lampard and his medical staff who have been keeping Silva fresh by resting him regularly despite the packed fixture schedule.
