Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed that winger Hakim Ziyech suffered a hamstring injury in the 3-1 win over Leeds yesterday evening.
The Moroccan international was replaced by Christian Pulisic in the first half and it is believed he will be assessed over the coming days to determine how long he will be out for.
Lampard was happy to announce before the game that he had a fully fit squad to choose from but, along with Ziyech, there was a second player that also went down injured last night.
Thiago Silva pulled up with five minutes remaining, holding his hamstring. He was fit to carry on, although it is known whether he would have been taken off if Chelsea had not already used all three substitutes.
No questions were asked about the Brazilian’s injury after the game so we shall have to wait and see whether there is an update on his fitness in the coming days.
