Fofana, Broja, Kovacic And James To Start, Ziyech And Havertz Out: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Play West Ham

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was seething after another limp away performance against Southampton on Tuesday night. The German will be looking to ring the changes when they face West Ham this weekend.

Edouard Mendy will start in goal, and Reece James could return to the team at right wingback after missing the match at St Mary’s due to illness. Marc Cucurella is expected to be given the nod on the opposite flank.

Wesley Fofana may have only just arrived at Stamford Bridge but he is match fit, so he could take up a role in the centre of defence alongside Thiago Silva and Kalidou Koulibaly.

Mateo Kovacic got 45 minutes versus the Saints so he should now be ready to start matches again. Jorginho is likely to be favoured ahead of Conor Gallagher, despite the England international’s return from suspension.

There could be a significant change up front too. Armando Broja deserves to be given his first league start, with Kai Havertz making way. Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount will take up the other two forward positions.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face West Ham:

Mendy, James, Fofana, Silva, Koulibaly, Cucurella, Kovacic, Jorginho, Mount, Broja, Sterling
