Chelsea Keeping Tabs On £36m Rated Spanish Starlet Who Lit Up The Euro U21 Championships

Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in Dinamo Zagreb attacking midfielder Dani Olmo, according to reports in Croatia.

The 21-year-old starred for Spain at the European Under 21 Championships with the Blues among those having taken notes on the player.

Olmo is also being tracked by Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich.

United are said to be the team closest to making an offer for the Spaniard with the Red Devils believed to be considering a €40m (£36m) bid.

However, speaking out about United’s interest yesterday, Olmo said he had heard nothing about it from his agent or his father who handle his future:

“Honestly, I know absolutely nothing about it. It’s for my manager Andy Bara and my dad. However, I’m not burdened by this.”

The midfielder has spent the last five years in Zagreb after having been in Barcelona’s academy. The Catalan club swapped the midfielder in the deal for Alen Halilovic back in 2014.

Olmo has made 102 senior appearances for Dinamo, scoring 26 goals and providing 21 assists.
