Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri has handed in a transfer request as he looks to secure a move to Inter Milan, according to Italian reporter Nicolo Schira.
The journalist claims the 25-year-old wants a move back to Italy, but Inter are yet to meet the Blues’ €25m (£22.5m) asking price for the player:
#EmersonPalmieri has handed in a transfer request to #Chelsea. The left-fullback wants to return to Italy to keep his spot in the #Azzurri #EURO2021 squad. Marina Granovskaia wants €25M. Talks ongoing between #Inter&Emerson’s agents who is also liked by #Juve coach #Sarri. #CFC

It must be said that Schira isn’t the most reliable of reporters so I would definitely take the transfer request claim with a large pinch of salt.
However, there is no doubt that Inter are holding talks about signing Emerson, with a number of journalists having claimed the Serie A side are keen to snap up the fullback.
The Italian international has played just one game since the restart, playing the full 90 minutes of the FA Cup quarter-final tie against Leicester last month, but he has rarely made it into the matchday squad for league games in recent weeks.
