Barcelona are once again interested in snapping up Chelsea winger Willian, according to Mundo Deportivo. The Catalan newspaper claims that the La Liga champions will consider signing the 31-year-old on a free transfer.
The Brazilian’s current deal expires in the summer and he can talk to foreign clubs about signing a pre-contract agreement as early as January. There has been a mixed reaction to the story among fans on Twitter:
Hands off. He’s ours.

Not this season please.

They can take him, as long as Chelsea can replace him immediately. We know Willian’s recent form is not permanent, it’s temporal.

Take him by January

Please let him go, it’s time to sign someone big rather then pay wages for a 30+ year old

Must be new contract time in the Willian household

It's pretty clear I think. If Chelsea offers a contract Willian is surely taking it.
If not he can have his pick of going back to Brazil, juve, or Barca.
At his age he's still amazingly fast. Reminds me of giggs at his latter stages. Deserves one year rolling imo

We should sell him and ask for dembele instead.

As good as Willian has been this season I think we should let him leave in the summer, bring in someone younger.

Chelsea have knocked back bids from Barca on a number of occasions for Willian, and it appears he could now join the Catalan club for nothing. However, Blues boss Frank Lampard is very keen to see the Brazilian international stay at Stamford Bridge.
The winger has been in excellent form this season and Lampard has been full of praise for the player’s ability and work rate. Willian himself has stated that he is happy at Chelsea, but much will depend on whether a new contract can be agreed.
