Chelsea will hold talks with the agent of Barcelona forward Antoine Griezmann “in the next few days” according to the Daily Star.
The newspaper reports that Barca are desperate to offload the France international in order to reduce their wage bill, and it is believed the player’s representative is due to be in London this week to discuss a transfer with a number of Premier League teams.
Manchester City will also be in the running but the feeling is that Chelsea would be Griezmann’s likeliest destination, considering the Blues are very keen to sign a striker. Fans on Twitter had a mixed reaction to the news, with many questioning the reliability of the story:

Griezmann is now 30 years of age so he would hardly be a long-term solution, but he is likely to be a lot cheaper than the likes of Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku and Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
