Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel confirmed after Wednesday’s match against Arsenal that N’Golo Kante has picked up an Achilles problem.
It was originally assumed that the 30-year-old was rested for the defeat to the Gunners ahead of the FA Cup final this weekend, but Tuchel claimed there was “no chance” he could play midweek due to the pain he was in.
We shall have to wait until Tuchel’s pre-match press conference to see if Kante will be fit to face Leicester but fans on Twitter are worried about the Frenchman’s potential absence:
We’re in trouble if he’s not back

It was stupid that just 8 months ago people were calling to get him sold because of his age, thus forgetting his importance and also the fact that Claude Makelele was bought post the age of 30 and won 2 titles.

Both Kante and Mateo Kovacic are in a race to be fit for the final at Wembley. Supporters will be keeping their fingers crossed that at least one of them is available, with Tuchel having expressed his dissatisfaction with the pairing of Jorginho and Billy Gilmour.
Kante’s form, in particular, has been vital to Chelsea’s recent run of good results and his presence in the starting lineup on Saturday would be a massive boost.
