‘We Should Just Release Them All For Free’ Thanks to Marina’ Fans React As Matt Law Names 5 Players That Chelsea Have Been Unable To Sell

Chelsea have not managed to find any buyers for the likes of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Michy Batshuayi, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Kenedy this summer, according to the Daily Telegraph‘s Matt Law.

The reliable journalist claims that a combination of high wages and poor performances have meant clubs have held back from making offers for some of the Blues’ unwanted players:

Fans on Twitter are not particularly impressed with Chelsea’s attempts to sell off some of these players, and some have laid the blame at the feet of previous managing director Marina Granovskaia:

It does look as if the Blues may have to loan out some of these players to get them off the club’s books. Kepa has been attracting interest from Lazio, while Ziyech has been pursued by AC Milan.

Things are less promising for Batshuayi and Kenedy so there may come a point where a mutual termination of their contracts is considered, especially as both are already in the final year of their current deals.

With Werner, it looks almost certain that he will remain at Stamford Bridge as his astronomically high salary has scared off any potential suitors.
