Chelsea lead Leicester in the race for Barcelona attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho, according to reports in the Catalan media. It is believed the Blues are interested in taking the Brazilian on loan this summer.
Barca are said to want to sell the player outright, having sent him on a season-long loan to Bayern Munich this campaign, but they could settle for another temporary switch if there is an option to buy included.
Supporters on Twitter think a move for Coutinho would be a good idea:
We need players like him as he is undoubtedly a quality player. He will inject experience in the team and brings with him winner mentality having played at great clubs. Same as we did with Fabregas and Kovacic. This is why we are a winner club compared to Arsenal.

Class signing imo, played on the wing by Barca which is revolves around giving the ball to ? and was class for Bayern under Kovac, exactly what we need against defensive teams – on loan or fee less than £60m is a steal

There are a couple of concerns about a move for the Brazilian international. He generally likes to play off the left-wing or as a number 10, which would block the likes of Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi getting game time in their favoured positions.
The other issue is the fact that there is big competition for Coutinho. Chelsea won’t just have Leicester to contend with. Manchester United and Arsenal are also said to be keen on the former Liverpool star.
