Bayern Munich defender David Alaba has narrowed down his possible next club to four teams, according to his agent Pini Zahavi.
There have been multiple reports that the Austrian international is keen on a move to Spain, with Real Madrid the heavy favourites to secure his signature on a free transfer. However, Zahavi says the 28-year-old has still not made his mind up:
“There are still four clubs to choose from. David has to choose who will win the race.”
The interview with Zahavi was conducted by German publication Kicker who do name the four clubs in question. As expected, Real Madrid are the leading contenders, but Chelsea are listed as one of the other teams, along with Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City have been mentioned as other potential suitors in recent weeks but it seems they have now dropped out of the running.
Whether Alaba will end up moving to Stamford Bridge, though, it still seems unlikely but the Blues do appear to have made the final shortlist.
