Chelsea are “serious” about signing Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar, according to TMW. The Italian website claims the Blues are prepared to offer in excess of €50m (£43m) for the 21-year-old.
Juventus are also said to be interested in the France Under 21 international but it is believed that the London club are the most advanced in negotiations, having already made contact about signing the player.
Supporters on Twitter are excited by the prospect of Aouar moving to Stamford Bridge:

It would not be a surprise if Chelsea are indeed making more moves in the transfer market, despite it only being February. They have shown that they are prepared to be proactive with the agreement to sign Ajax playmaker Hakim Ziyech so another early bid can’t be ruled out.
With reports also surfacing yesterday that manager Frank Lampard is prepared to offload up to eight players in the summer, it points to a sizeable squad overhaul which looks to be already underway.
