Report Reveals Jose Mourinho’s Stance On Returning To Chelsea For A Third Spell

Roma boss Jose Mourinho would consider returning to Chelsea if he receives a call from co-owner Todd Boehly, according to Il Messaggero.

The Italian publication says that the Portuguese manager would not say no to joining the Blues or another big club like Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid if the opportunity arises this summer.

Mourinho has already had two successful spells at Stamford Bridge, although both came to an abrupt end when Roman Abramovich decided to sack him in 2007 and 2015.

The 60-year-old has had subsequent stints in charge at Manchester United and Tottenham before moving to Italy, where he has spent the last two seasons.

At the moment, there is no vacancy at Chelsea, but manager Graham Potter remains under massive pressure. A 2-2 draw against Everton last weekend has placed the spotlight back on the Englishman following a run of decent results.

He will need a strong end to the season to prevent more speculation about his job, especially as Mourinho is seemingly back in the frame.
