REPORT: Chelsea Add Two Premier League Managers To Shortlist Of Potential Sarri Replacements

Chelsea have drawn up a three-man shortlist of potential replacements if they decide to part ways with Maurizio Sarri, according to the Daily Record.

The Italian manager’s future likely depends on the club finishing in the top four or winning the Europa League in order to qualify for the Champions League next season.

If Sarri fails, the Blues have reportedly lined up Wolves’ Nuno Espirito Santo, Watford’s Javi Gracia and Chelsea legend Frank Lampard as possible targets.

Lampard has already been linked with the role previously this season after doing a decent job with Derby County in the Championship.

Santo’s name is also not a surprise considering the success that Wolves have had during their first season in the Premier League, but Gracia’s inclusion may raise a few eyebrows.

The Spaniard has guided the Hornets to the FA Cup final, while they are currently tenth in the league. Chelsea’s board are said to have been very impressed by Gracia since he took charge at Vicarage Road in January last year.

Still, it would be a big step up for the 48-year-old whose previous coaching roles include Osasuna, Malaga and Rubin Kazan.
