Pulisic And James To Start, Silva Out: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Play Manchester City

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel may be tempted to rotate following their win over Real Madrid in midweek, but the club are still targeting a top-four finish in the league as well.

With that in mind, Tuchel may limit the changes he makes to the starting lineup heading into their clash against Manchester City this evening.

Edouard Mendy is expected to stay in goal, after another excellent performance on Wednesday. Reece James could be named in the eleven, allowing Thiago Silva to be rested, with Cesar Azpilicueta moving into the back three alongside Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger. Ben Chilwell will keep his place on the left flank.

With limited options, Tuchel may keep things unchanged in the middle of the park, with N’Golo Kante and Jorginho likely to continue their excellent partnership.

Up front, Christian Pulisic was harshly dropped for the Real clash so the American international could be reinstated with Timo Werner being given a rest. Kai Havertz and Mason Mount are expected to stay in the starting lineup.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Manchester City:

Mendy, James, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger, Chilwell, Kante, Jorginho, Mount, Havertz, Pulisic
