Chelsea are keeping close tabs on Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports in the German media.

The Blues have joined the likes of Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain in pursuing the France international, who has been in superb form this season. While there are a few fans on Twitter who are hesitant about signing another player from the Bundesliga, the vast majority are backing the club to snap up the forward:

Muani’s record this campaign for Frankfurt speaks for itself. The 24-year-old has scored 19 goals and provided 14 assists in 38 appearances.

There are legitimate concerns about the fact that he has only just emerged on the scene recently, having joined Frankfurt on a free transfer from Nantes last summer.

With his club now reportedly demanding €100m (£88m) for the striker, it would be a gamble to spend so much on someone who is relatively unproven. We shall see if Chelsea step up their interest in Muani at the end of the season.
