“On The Shortlist” Journalist Confirms 25 Year Old Defender Is Now One Of Tuchel’s Transfer Targets

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is looking to strengthen the club’s defence by targeting Bayern Munich centre-back Niklas Sule, according to Bild journalist Christian Falk.

The 25-year-old’s name has been added to a list of three Bundesliga players that the Blues will look to pursue in the summer transfer window:

Sule, who has been linked with Manchester United in the past, is closing in on the final twelve months of his contract at the Allianz Arena and he will be sold if he doesn’t sign an extension.

Chelsea’s interest in the other two targets, Dayot Upamecano and David Alaba, is well documented. In Upamecano’s case, Bayern are thought to be in the lead for the RB Leipzig star’s signature so Sule may be seen as the main alternative.

In terms of Alaba, Liverpool and Manchester City are also believed to be keen on the Austrian and, while a move to Real Madrid is said to be the likeliest possibility, it is now claimed that the defender may consider a switch to England if he can get a better contract.
