Nizaar Kinsella Reveals Chelsea Have “Contacted Representatives” Of THREE Different Keepers As Club Seek New No.1

Chelsea have “contacted representatives” of Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, Inter Milan’s Andre Onana and Brentford number one David Raya, according to the Evening Standard reporter Nizaar Kinsella.

Both Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga are expected to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season. Mendy has failed to agree a new deal while the club are open to offers for Kepa.

A new first-choice keeper is, therefore, required, and it appears Chelsea’s recruitment team have been hard at work trying to find the best target ahead of the summer transfer window.

Ironically, Kobel, Onana and Raya have all been linked with Manchester United as well, although the Red Devils would only make an approach if they can’t agree a new contract with David De Gea.

Tottenham are also targeting Raya as a potential successor to Hugo Lloris, so Chelsea may have a job on their hands if they choose to pursue one of the trio in the coming weeks.
