A surprising inclusion on this list – Leeds United were not frightened to splash the cash in their quest to secure Georginio Rutter’s signature. The West Yorkshire club paid £36 million to tie him down, making him one of their most expensive transfers of all time.
At 20 years old, Rutter has a very exciting future in football. He has represented France at various youth levels, scoring 21 goals for Le Bleus in total.
He has yet to make his Premier League debut – while at Hoffenheim, Rutter scored two goals and notched up two assists in 15 games.
