Milan Weigh Up Loan Offer For Chelsea Flop After Move To Spain Turns Sour

AC Milan may offer to take over Michy Batshuayi’s loan from Valencia in January, according to Sportmediaset.it.

The Rossoneri are considering a number of striker targets, with Sampdoria’s Fabio Quagliarella being the Italian side’s number one priority.

However, a move for Batshuayi is believed to be possible. The Belgian has struggled for goals since moving to Spain at the start of the season, having scored just three times in 20 appearances.

Although he started against Manchester United in the 2-1 victory last night, the 25-year-old has been mostly used as a substitute by manager Marcelino.

The Valencia boss is reportedly frustrated at Batshuayi’s inability to get involved with build-up play, and it could mean that the Spanish club are willing to cut his loan short.

The Belgian international was expected to spend the whole season in La Liga, after Valencia paid a €3m loan fee, but it appears a switch to Serie A could well be on the cards.
