BT Sport pundit Michael Owen is expecting Chelsea to come away with the three points when they face Arsenal at the Emirates on Boxing Day.

The Gunners are reeling from a heavy 4-1 home defeat to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night and Owen believes Frank Lampard’s side should be able to take advantage of their opponent’s low confidence:

“Chelsea arrive here after a solid showing at home to West Ham and I think the Blues should have more than enough going forward to win this against a side that are really struggling in every area.”

Owen has gone for a 2-0 win for Chelsea, which is a pretty fair prediction considering how poorly Arsenal have been playing recently. The Blues will need to be mindful of the Gunners if they sit deep and look to play on the counter-attack but their lack of goals means they are not a big threat.

Lampard will want to ensure there is no complacency, though, and after not playing that well, despite winning 3-0 against West Ham last time out, he will want to see a better performance this weekend.
