Michael Owen Predicts The Outcome As Chelsea Face Sheffield United

BT Sport pundit Michael Owen has backed Chelsea to get their third win in a row under new manager Thomas Tuchel when they take on Sheffield United this evening.

The Blades are coming into the game in confident mood after beating West Brom during the week, but Owen feels the Blues will have too much for their opponents, and he is also expecting Timo Werner to score at Bramall Lane:

“United have been impressive in recent weeks, however, Chelsea are growing in confidence and I think Tuchel may be the man to unlock the potential of fellow countryman Timo Werner. I reckon the German could notch here in an away win.”

Owen has gone with a 2-0 win for the Blues, which is a sensible prediction, considering United do struggle to score goals and Tuchel’s team have been solid both in defence and attack since his arrival last month.

Whether Werner will get on the scoresheet, though, that is certainly up for debate. The German’s all-round game wasn’t too bad against Tottenham and he did well to win the penalty.

However, his finishing in recent weeks has left a lot to be desired and he needs to get his confidence back in front of goal. Whether he’ll find his scoring touch in today’s game, we shall see.
