Michael Owen Predicts The Outcome As Chelsea Face Brentford

Michael Owen is expecting Chelsea to come out on top when they make the trip to play Brentford this evening.

The BT Sport says he has been very impressed with the Bees’ performances at the start of this season but he feels that Thomas Tuchel’s side will have too much for their opponents:

“After a surprising couple of results, Chelsea bounced back with a win at home to Southampton. I think the break came at the right time for the team and will allow them to recharge and get back to their best. This won’t be an easy game for the Blues either, but I think they’ll be too strong for Brentford.”

Owen has gone with a 2-0 victory for the Blues, which is a pretty generous prediction, considering Brentford have already shown themselves to be a very dangerous team this campaign.

Thomas Frank’s men went to the London Stadium and won against West Ham before the international break, while they drew 3-3 at home versus Liverpool earlier this month.

This could be a pretty tight encounter initially, and it will probably be decided by a moment of quality finishing. Tuchel has confirmed that Romelu Lukaku is fit and available for the game tonight and you wouldn’t bet against the Belgian popping up with the winner.
