BT Sport pundits Michael Owen and Rio Ferdinand disagree over whether Chelsea will beat Real Madrid to progress to the Champions League final.

The Blues now know they will face the La Liga champions after they overcame Liverpool in their quarter-final tie last night, but Owen says that, while he predicts Thomas Tuchel‘s men will make it to Istanbul to face Manchester City, Ferdinand thinks Real and Paris Saint-Germain will qualify:

“I’ve gone for an all-English final, he thinks the opposite.”

The bookmakers do favour Real to make it past Chelsea, but it must be said they are hardly the all-conquering team that won three Champions League titles in a row a few years back.

The Spanish club are certainly a well-drilled outfit under manager Zinedine Zidane but so are Chelsea, and it is likely to be a very close contest over both games. The first leg of the semi-final takes place at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium on April 27th.
