Mendy, Chilwell And Abraham To Start, Pulisic On The Bench: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Palace

Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is expected to retain his place in goal after making his debut in the Carabao Cup against Spurs midweek.

Ben Chilwell played just over an hour on Wednesday and the left-back is now expected to make his full Premier League start versus Crystal Palace tomorrow afternoon.

Thiago Silva will likely be recalled after being rested against Spurs and Kurt Zouma could be favoured ahead of Andreas Christensen in the middle of defence. Reece James may be favoured ahead of club captain Cesar Azpilicueta at right-back.

In midfield, N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic are likely to start, with Kai Havertz playing as the most advanced midfielder ahead of them.

The front three could see a number of different combinations but with Tammy Abraham having been rested midweek, the 23-year-old could start up front, with Timo Werner and Mason Mount either side of him.

Christian Pulisic is back fit according to manager Frank Lampard but he is only expected to make the bench tomorrow, with Hakim Ziyech not yet ready to return.
