Latest Chelsea Injury News: Updates On Tomori And Hudson Odoi

Chelsea centre-back Fikayo Tomori is expected to miss tomorrow’s FA Cup quarter-final tie against Leicester City, with the centre-back still not having fully recovered from a muscular injury.

The 22-year-old did not take any part in the games against Aston Villa and Manchester City due to the issue, but he is expected to be back in full training very soon.

Callum Hudson-Odoi does, however, have an outside chance of making the squad for the game at the King Power Stadium. An ankle injury has kept the 19-year-old sidelined since the Premier League’s return but it is believed he is close to returning to match fitness.

Marco van Ginkel is now back in full training. The Dutchman has spent the best part of eighteen months on the sidelines with a serious knee injury but he is now working alongside his teammates at Cobham.

The 27-year-old’s current contract was expected to expire at the end of this month, but the club opted to give him a one-year extension so that manager Frank Lampard can run the rule over him before deciding on his long-term future.
