Kante And Christensen Out, Jorginho And Tomori In: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Everton

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard was happy with his team’s display against Aston Villa on Wednesday night, and he’s unlikely to make many changes when the Blues travel to face a managerless Everton tomorrow.

In defence, Andreas Christensen has been given his chance to shine, having started two of the last three games, but with the team having failed to keep a clean sheet in either of those matches, the Dane could make way for Fikayo Tomori.

Cesar Azpilicueta appears to be ahead of both Emerson and Marcos Alonso on the left-hand side at the moment so it’s likely that both the captain and Reece James will keep their places at Goodison Park.

In midfield, Lampard may use tomorrow’s match as an opportunity to rest N’Golo Kante. The Frenchman has had a number of fitness issues this season, and playing his second game in the space of a few days may be a bit too much for him.

After benching Jorginho midweek, the Italian international could well come back into the starting line up, alongside the in-form Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount.

The front three will likely stay the same from the Villa win, with Lampard having settled on Christian Pulisic and Willian either side of Tammy Abraham up front.
