Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram “wants to stay” with the Bundesliga club until the end of the season, according to Sport1 reporter Patrick Berger.
The German journalist says that Chelsea, Barcelona and Inter Milan are all keen on recruiting the France international but the forward is in no rush to leave his current team:
Chelsea, Barça and Inter are all in the race to sign Gladbach‘s Marcus Thuram who is a free agent in June. Been told #CFC trying to sign the French striker already in January. @MarcusThuram actually wants to stay with Borussia until summer. But things can change quickly… @SPORT1

As Berger says himself, the situation could change quickly if Chelsea do press ahead with an offer to sign Thuram. Reports suggest that the 25-year-old could be available for as little as £8.5m due to his contract situation and he would certainly help the Blues improve their poor scoring record.
For Gladbach this campaign, Thuram has already hit the back of the net 13 times, and his performances have also attracted the attention of other Premier League teams, including Newcastle, Manchester United and Arsenal.
It is not thought that Chelsea’s signing of Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix will affect their plans to recruit Thuram as it is believed the London club are prepared to recruit two forwards this month.
