Chelsea have been in contact with Julian Nagelsmann about replacing Graham Potter, according to journalist Rudy Galetti.
The Italian reporter has a mixed track record when it comes to accuracy but he says that representatives from the Blues have had initial discussions with the former Bayern Munich head coach:
🚨🗣️ First positive contacts between #Nagelsmann and some #Chelsea representatives.
🗒️ To date, the former #BayernMunich coach is one of the #CFC‘s main options for the next season – together with Luis Enrique – in the event of Graham #Potter being sacked. 🐓⚽️ #Transfers pic.twitter.com/Tc1kI3FoXw

At this stage, any conversations with Nagelsmann are likely to be informal and Chelsea’s board may be just getting in touch as a precaution if Potter can’t turn around the club’s form.
The former Brighton manager needs a strong end to the season to convince supporters and, possibly, members of the club’s hierarchy, that he is the man for the job over the long term.
Nagelsmann is unlikely to be on the market for long. He has a big reputation despite being a young coach. Even though he was sacked by Bayern, the German club had qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals and his team were only one point off the top of the Bundesliga table.
Tottenham are said to have held conversations with Nagelsmann as well but he would likely prefer a switch to Stamford Bridge due to the squad he would have at his disposal.
