Chelsea legend John Terry has praised Lewis Hall for his display against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup last night.
The 18-year-old was handed his second senior start by manager Graham Potter in the 2-0 defeat and Terry took to Twitter yesterday evening to recognise his contributions in the first half:
What a great first half performance from Lewis Hall 💙

Hall probably had Chelsea’s two best goalscoring opportunities at the Etihad and, while he was unable to put either chance away, his ability to find space and get into the right positions was admirable.
The teenager started as a left wingback versus City, but he is a very versatile player, having played as a holding midfielder, a number 10, a right winger and even as a centre-half for the Under 21s this season.
While it’s unlikely that we’ll see Hall feature too much in the Premier League any time soon, he showed against City that he does have a great future at senior level.
