Chelsea are interested in signing Bayern Munich centre-back Jerome Boateng, according to reports in the French media
The 31-year-old, who is also said to be an Arsenal target, could well be sold in the summer, but fans on Twitter are not convinced that he would be a good addition to the Blues’ squad:
Is this what Chelsea call a top CB? pic.twitter.com/tipIgVQGZw

Boateng has had his issues with form and injury over the past few years, and while he is an experienced defender, having won the World Cup with Germany in 2014, many feel he is past his best.
The defender has only made 15 starts in the Bundesliga for Bayern this season and one of his worst displays was when he was sent off in the 5-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt back in November.
Boateng has performed better since the turn of the year, having only failed to start in two games under head coach Hansi Flick following Germany’s winter break.
