Chelsea are keen on signing Stoke City defender Nathan Collins, according to the Sun. The tabloid claims that the Blues have “shown strong interest” in the 6ft 5in centre-back.
Despite his height, the Potters star is only 18 years of age, but his potential has attracted the interest of a number of other teams, including Arsenal and Manchester United.
Collins has made 12 appearances in all competitions for Stoke this season and he has even captained the team on a number of occasions.
The teenager led his team out and scored the winner in the 1-0 win over Wigan in the Carabao Cup back in early August. He was also handed the armband for a league game, in the 3-0 defeat to Leeds.
At international level, Collins hasn’t yet made his senior debut for the Republic of Ireland, but he has been included in squads this campaign. The player is certainly someone to watch out for.
