Hazard Looking To Emulate Hazard Next Season?

Yes you read the story headline right – it is not a typo…as Chelsea snapped up both the Hazard brothers in the summer of 2012, but it was only Eden who got the opportunity to showcase his talent following his mega £32 million move from Lille. His younger sibling, Thorgan was however sent out on loan immediately to Zulte-Waregem, back in his native Belgium and he has stayed there ever since.

Now as Thorgan nears the end of his time with Zulte-Waregem, questions are being raised whether he will finally make his Chelsea bow or will he be sent out on loan once again. The midfielder has gone ahead and answered the question as ESPNFC report him giving a statement about his intention of quitting Zulte-Waregem and returning to Stamford Bridge this summer.

He is set to take part in the final of the Belgian Cup, and seemingly wants to leave on a high note with some silverware. He is quoted as saying, “The cup final is a great chance to show that I’m back,”

“It’s also a chance for the club to win a trophy. I’d like to leave the club with a trophy. Well, everyone knows I won’t be staying at this club.”

“I’ll begin at Chelsea,” he continued. “We’ll see — it’s all too far off for now.”

With the 20-year setting his sights on breaking into Jose Mourinho’s squad next season, it will be interesting to see if he really has what it takes to make it into Mourinho’s plans like his older brother?
