Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is a big admirer of Brighton centre-back Ben White and is interested in bringing the 22-year-old to Stamford Bridge, according to reports in England.
Liverpool are also said to be keeping tabs on the defender while Leeds have had a number of bids turned down by the Seagulls for the player.
White excelled out on loan at the Yorkshire club in the Championship but his performances have come to the attention of many other Premier League teams, including the Blues. Most fans on Twitter would back a move for the centre-half:
I’m all for that. I think he’s got a bit of Terry about him

He hasn't played one game in the premier League

Very talented and no doubt has a big future. But it's not what we currently need. If we had a senior CB with then this would be a top singing.

Good player, but not what we need, we don’t need another CB with potential.

Very good player watched every game he played last season but isnt the player we need in a leader

Ben White for around £30m would be a very shrewd signing. Leeds cannot go higher than £25m as we already know.

Absolutely excellent signing I think. Imagine him signing and scoring a bullet header on the opening game!

We should get him great player

Some reports have suggested that White could cost as much as £40m and that would be a steep figure considering he does not have much experience of playing at the highest level.
Even so, it appears Lampard is a fan and it is certainly a transfer story that Chelsea supporters should keep an eye on.
