Christensen And Giroud To Start, Werner Out: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Sheffield United

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has gotten off to an excellent start and he will be hoping to make it ten points from four games when they travel to play Sheffield United tomorrow.

Edouard Mendy will keep his place in goal after getting another clean sheet at Spurs, with Reece James and Marcos Alonso also retaining their places as the two wingbacks.

Andreas Christensen is expected to deputise for the injured Thiago Silva, with Cesar Azpilicueta and Antonio Rudiger playing either side of him in a three-man defence.

In midfield, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic‘s excellent recent performances mean they are likely to keep out N’Golo Kante, while Mason Mount is almost certain to remain as the number 10.

Timo Werner may have won the crucial winning penalty against Tottenham but he could still be dropped for the more physical Olivier Giroud as they take on the Blades. Callum Hudson-Odoi has started every game under Tuchel and should therefore be in line to play once more.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Sheffield United:

Mendy, James, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger, Alonso, Jorginho, Mount, Kovacic, Giroud, Hudson-Odoi
