Chelsea remain interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar, according to Le Parisien.
The French newspaper, which isn’t the most reliable source, claim that the Blues have made it known that they would be keen on securing the Brazilian’s services if he “decides to leave” PSG. With the club having been linked with Neymar in nearly every transfer window, supporters on Twitter have had a mixed reaction to this latest story:
Yes yes oh my God yesssss

Boehly has had his eye on Neymar for a while
In July last year, it was reported that Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly was looking into bringing Neymar to Stamford Bridge but his manager at the time, Thomas Tuchel, was against the idea.
Whether current head coach, Mauricio Pochettino, would be more open to the 31-year-old joining his team, it isn’t known. He did work with the player at PSG, but so did Tuchel.
Chelsea need younger and fitter players
Neymar isn’t exactly a spring chicken anymore, with the forward turning 32 in the middle of next season. You also have to consider his fitness record, which isn’t great.
The Brazilian international is currently recovering from ankle surgery and that is one of NINETEEN separate injuries he has sustained since moving to France just under six years ago.
Considering Chelsea’s transfer policy has been to sign young talent since the arrival of the new ownership, Neymar wouldn’t exactly fit into that remit, despite his undoubted ability.
